The real tribute to any departed soul is to do what that person stood for and cherished throughout her life.Anindita did not want to die, but nor did she fear death. She was grateful to have had enough notice of her death to be able to do many things that she wanted to do first. She was beautiful, witty, intelligent, quirky and always immense fun to be with. She was a devoted wife, mother, a highly aware citizen, a meticulous teacher and above all a great human being.
Anindita always wished to give hope to everyone around her epecially the countless under-privileged girls who are deprived of basis education. She had an innate passion towards education and she always envisaged that all under-privileged children should be able to get access to quality eduction.
We have created a platform "Anindita Chattaraj Foundation" which will focus on providing quality education to the under-privileged girl child so that they are able to realize their dreams and break the vicious circle of poverty.

Anindita had many roles, a dedicated wife, mother, an animal lover and a passionate educator. She came into herself whenever she was in a classroom amidst her students, always eager to teach and learn in equal capacities. She devoted her long career to teaching, and would often say there are no bad students, just dispassionate teachers. She always took a personal interest in the development of innovative teaching methods for her classes, and was eager to try new things in her classroom.
She loved history, literature, music, fashion and Netflix! She taught her students the art of curiosity, about always wanting to learn and explore new ideas. She was a firm advocate for education and understood its importance in the overall advancement of society. She believed that the only way to improve the gender disparity in our country was to educate the girls, to send the girls to school and make sure they stayed in school.
This foundation is an ode to her life, to everything she stood for. She was a true feminist, way ahead of her time in terms of her views of equal opportunity when people around her didnt know what that even meant. As we write this piece on our mother, we, her daughter and her son are incredibly proud of her. With this foundation, we hope to continue her efforts by giving children, especially girls, the opportunity and means to receive education. We look forward to your support in our endeavours.
